Volunteer ProgrammeWe have a vibrant volunteer program – volunteers from around the world donate their time to Ashraya’s programs and enhance the experiences of the students and teachers. Ashraya welcomes volunteers from around the world to share their experiences and talents with the children at Neelbagh School and the Community Crèches.
Volunteering at Neelbagh School:
- You should plan to stay for at least 6 to 8 weeks if you are volunteering at Neelbagh School.
- You are welcome to teach English to the junior classes, help the students speak and understand English better and get involved with all the extra-curricular activities available such as sports and games, dance, music, craft and computer lessons.
- We provide free accommodation with comfortable amenities and vegetarian food.
- Volunteering at the school will give you a chance to enjoy the ambience of rural India.

Volunteering at the Creches:
- The crèches are open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We require volunteers to attend at least twice a week.
- The children are in the 2 – 6 year age group; you are encouraged to teach the children in a stimulating and innovative manner, or teach alternative activities such as art, craft, dance or music.
